THE LIVERPOOL FUNNY FARM
Return to the O'Donnell's Page
Long ago, in a far-away village called Liverpool NY. Florence O'Donnell invested in a four family house with $20,000 left to her by her mother in December, 1941. When Mary and Monty married in December, 1945, housing availability was non-existent (immediately after the war). One of the apartments, the lower right, became available during their pre-wedding days and Florence offered it to the about to be newly-weds. Betty and Bill were to be married on June 15th and Florence asked the folks in the lower left apartment to vacate it. When Marian Mooney and Fred Crinnin were to be married in October of that year (1946), they moved into the upper left apartment and Anne and Frank took the upper right after their wedding on September 6th, 1947. There you have it--- Four good friends in one place PARTY TIME!!!! Soon however, there were nine kids under two in the house -- the protestant neighbors were SHOCKED!!!!
