Outlook Express

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. From the main menu, click Tools, then Accounts.  The Internet Accounts window appears
  3. Click the "Add" button select the "Mail..." entry. The new mail account "wizard" will appear.
  4. Enter the name you want people to know you by in the Name field.  Click Next.

  5. Enter your e-mail address in the Internet E-mail Address field.  Click Next.

  6. Select POP3 as the mail server in the My Incoming Mail Server is A field.

  7. Enter your mail server in the Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) Server field  and the Outgoing Mail (SMPT) Server field. (note: your mail server "mail.yourdomainname.com" (or .org, .net - whatever your domain name extension is.  Example, the mail server for mydomain.com would be mail.mydomain.com.) Click the Next button.

  8. Enter your POP account name in the Log On Using field (note: your POP account name is the same as e-mail address i.e. yourname@yourdomainname.com).

  9. Enter your password in the Password field.  Click Next.

  10. Enter a Friendly Name in the InternetMail Account Name field.  Click Next.

  11. Enter your connection type (click the Help button for detailed information).

  12. Click the "Finish" button on the next screen.  That's it!
