Creating a New Alias Addresses
Definition: An alias is an email account that forwards to
a regular POP3 email address(s).
- Access
your E-Mail Administration Interface.
- From the Mailbox Summary Screen, click on Alias
Administration (in the 'Administration Account
Options' drop down menu on the
top right of the screen) The following
screen will display a drop down list of existing
aliases for your domain. If there are none listed, then you have no
e-mail alias set-up.

Click on the Add button
under the alias drop down list.
The "Enter New Alias Information" screen displays.

Enter the new Alias information.
Note: The Alias ID is the e-mail address. For instance, if you
want to create the alias sales@johndoe.com, enter the Alias ID "sales" only.
The software will automatically create sales@johndoe.com for you.

Select
"Standard" for the alias type.

In the destination field enter the
e-mail address that this alias should forward mail to
ex: MyEmail@MyDomain.com

When done, click the Save button on in the left
margin of your screen.

To verify your work, click on the
'Alias Administration' link.

Verify that the Alias ID you added is now
in the drop down list.
