Please...someone stabilize my sanity. I am a senior in college who just returned from a 5 week study abroad in France. Two of those weeks were spent in Caen, France, and it was there that I met Romain. I would eventually tire you with details if I tried to tell you about how we met and all the extras, but my main point is that I am now back in Texas...and half a world away from me is this amazing guy. We call each other just about every three days, email, text message, and send letters, and Romain is planning to visit me in September, but I guess I am just looking for the hope that a relationship like this can come straight out of the pages of some little girl's fairy tale and survive. I wanted so badly to stay in France, but I have worked too hard in school to not finish it, so I have one more year to go; however, I am interested in hearing about any stories where a couple had to test their patience...and if it ended with good results.
