Hello, I always love reading you Shannon, becauseI see we are not the only ones trying to achieve something like that....I am French, Steve is from Boston, I moved here a year ago (and yes, I am still subject to attacks of homesickness)....We are just back from France....I feel he loved it, but just as a place to see, not as a place to live...I am concerned sometimes, because I do not want to spend the rest of my life here......Long story, anyway, thanks for your insight, and your humor, and strength!!

Dear Tash, I think that yes there is a hope for you and your loved one, if you are sure of yourselves and of one another. Each can follow his convictions as long as he respects the conviction of his partner. You have the right to live your life the way you like it and not the way your parents want it. I too am a muslim and my boyfriend is french and christian. Good luck
