Mary Jeanne ("Marnie") Quigley, the second child (and eldest daughter) of Jim and Jeanne Quigley, was born in 1954 in Syracuse.  A 1971 graduate of Bishop Ludden High, Marnie received her B.S. from Rosemont College in Philadelphia (1975), her M.B.A. from Fordham University (1979), and her C.P.A. from the University of Washington (1990).  

Marnie married Robert Kern in 1975.  Robert, a 1971 graduate of Villanova University, received his M.D. from New York Medical College.  Robert spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1998 at the rank of Captain.  He practices medicine today in Lawton Oklahoma.  Marnie and Robert have two sons: Robert James Kern (a recent graduate of Colgate University, now working for National Geographic in Washington, D.C.), and Sean Quigley Kern, currently an undergrad at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.
