Alexander String Quartet

The Alexander String Quartet have frequently performed for Fullerton Friends of Music (2000 and 2002 were the most recent performances) and remain a favorite of both FFM  organization board members and FFM founder, Beulah Strickler.

The ASQ's discography include the recording of the complete set of  Beethoven String Quartet's, which have drawn critical acclaim from publications such as the Penguin Guide to Bargain Compact Discs (c)1998 Ivan March Publications and other Musical publications.

The following quote is excerpted from a review of their Arte Nova label CD recording of the Opus 18, Nos. 3 & 4 and Opus 69, Nos. 2 & 3 (Rasumovsky) Beethoven Quartets:

"Although these are rock-bottom-priced discs, they are top drawer performances and excellent recordings. This group plays with fine musical intelligence and exemplary taste, and the recorded sound is excellently balanced"

from the Penguin Guide to Bargain Compact Discs (c)1998 Ivan March Publications.

More information about the ensemble and their discography can be found on their new website at:

The following quote by Alicia de Larrocha regarding Mr. Delgado's Ginastera MA label CD recording:

"These works by Ginastera, masterfully interpreted by Eduardo Delgado, deserve to be available to every musician and music lover.Besides being a recording of enormous interest, it suffices to say that the character and essence of this music could not be better interpreted than in this version by Eduardo Delgado."
